Kitchens are and always have been more than just a place for cooking. That's why buying a new kitchen should be carefully considered - after all, it's not just about functionality, but also about ambience, style and quality of life. This is exactly where the KüchenART kitchen showroom comes in. Owner Fabian Eckstein worked for many years as a kitchen salesman in the office and in thefield before taking the steps into self-employment in spring 2019. Since then, he and his now four employees have been presenting tastefully furnished kitchens in his 120 square metre showroom.
Project progress
Just two months later, in November 2022, the cloud version of KPS.MAX was installed and Fabian Eckstein was able to design his first kitchens with the new application. "The transition worked really well. Only the cloud server hung up once at the beginning, but that was quickly fixed by SHD support. Yes, I knew that there could be problems in the start-up phase, but I was okay with that as the program was still under development," the entrepreneur recalls the start-up phase.
Fabian Eckstein was also impressed by the extremely simple operation and quick learning curve of KPS.MAX: "As I was already familiar with KPS solutions, I only attended a basic training course. Otherwise, the software is so user-friendly that many drainages are self-explanatory."
Requirements
What's special about KüchenART is that everything, from advice and customised design to installation, comes from a single source. "I always take a look at the space myself, measure everything precisely and then create a high-quality 3D design using special software. This allows the customer to see in details how their kitchen will look in the end." At Fabian Eckstein, this "special software" is KPS.MAX in the cloud version.
Decision making
Before Fabian Eckstein decided to switch to KPS.MAX, he took another close look at the solution at the “area30 trade and order fair” in Löhne in September 2022. He was convinced by the performance of the software and signed the cooperation agreement on the same day.
Fabian Eckstein was particularly impressed by the modern and cloud-capable software architecture of the KPS.MAX kitchen planning software. The solution also scored points for its user-friendly and intuitive operation.
A planning solution from another provider? This was not an issue for the experienced kitchen designer: "I was already familiar with SHD solutions from the kitchen showroom I worked in before. And as we were always very satisfied with the software, there was no alternative to KPS for me when it came to selecting it."
Solution
Today, Fabian Eckstein uses KPS.MAX to design around 15 kitchens per month. With the "self-explanatory drainage" mentioned above, he and his employees quickly and easily arrive at a well thought-out kitchen designer. The speed and perfection of the design are particularly impressive. Time-consuming work steps are significantly shortened by automated processes. The smart planning aids deliver precise and error-free results and ensure fast processing. "Kitchen design is really quick and easy with KPS.MAX," says Fabian Eckstein.
"Since using KPS.MAX, many things have become much easier. KPS.MAX is the perfect solution for commercial processing. For example, entering prices or purchase orders is very easy to handle. KPS.MAX is also great in terms of creating forms!"

He also appreciates the real-time 3D rendering. Photorealistic 3D presentations have no waiting time sat KPS.MAX and are possible at any point during the planning and presentation: "As I only have a small showroom with four sample kitchens, high resolution design and real-time rendering are extremely important to me. This allows me to impress my customers with professional planning documents. That's what I think is cool about KPS.MAX."
However, the state-of-the-art application with a cloud-based backend for centralised data storage is the absolute highlight of the solution for Fabian Eckstein.
"As I am responsible for the consultation and sales and my colleague then carries out the internal processing, she always knows exactly what I have designed.
