ANDERNACH, January 8 2025 – A significant milestone has been achieved in the collaboration between NOVAMEDIATRAIN and SHD Kreative Planungs-Systeme GmbH: The training programme for kitchen consultants and sales specialists using the cloud-based design software KPS.MAX is now officially state-certified in Germany. This certification, granted by the Zentralstelle für Fernunterricht (ZFU), ensures the programme meets the highest pedagogical and professional standards, opening new opportunities in workforce qualification – now also accessible to private individuals.
A unique blend of quality and technology
Since 2022, NOVAMEDIATRAIN and SHD have been working successfully together to offer the industry innovative solutions for recruiting skilled professionals. By combining NOVAMEDIATRAIN’s modern distance learning concept with SHD’s cutting-edge technology in KPS.MAX, they have created a training programme that seamlessly integrates theory and practice. The new state certification marks a new level of quality in this partnership. Not only does the certification guarantee methodologically and didactically verified content, but it also stands out in the market: Currently, no other provider in Germany offers a state-certified training programme via distance learning that includes complimentary access to the advanced cloud-based kitchen design software KPS.MAX.
Marco Polcher, Head of Customer Service at SHD Kreative Planungs-Systeme GmbH, explains: “The state certification of the training, alongside TÜV Rheinland certification, reaffirms the high quality of our educational approach. By utilising KPS.MAX, we provide hands-on training that perfectly prepares both industry professionals and career changers for the demands of the sector.”
Expanding target groups and direct market access
One of the key advantages of state certification is the ability to offer the training programme directly to private individuals, including through funding schemes by the Federal Employment Agency. This flexibility opens up new opportunities for those interested in entering the kitchen industry.
Dirk Bender, Managing Director of NOVAMEDIATRAIN, adds: “With state certification, we reach not only businesses but also private individuals passionate about the kitchen market. Whether through the Employment Agency or on their own initiative, we offer them high-quality, flexible, and future-proof training. This gives us direct market access and enables us to target new audience segments.” The KPS.MAX cloud solution plays a crucial role in this process, allowing participants to create practical plans while trainers provide digital guidance and evaluation. Moreover, participants can access KPS.MAX free of charge for six months during their training.
A visionary outlook
The success of the programme is already evident: On 28 November 2024, the first participants successfully completed the state-certified training. The next examination date is scheduled for the end of January 2025. The collaboration between NOVAMEDIATRAIN and SHD continues to evolve. A future innovation is already in the pipeline: the integration of the 3D solution KPS.MAX vision into the oral final examination. This development has the potential to revolutionise the assessment process, allowing trainees to present their plans in a realistic virtual environment.
A win for the industry
The state-certified training offered by NOVAMEDIATRAIN, combined with SHD’s technological innovation, establishes a sustainable educational model for the kitchen industry. This blend of quality, practicality, and flexibility not only addresses the skills shortage but also paves the way for career changers and private individuals to enter a forward-looking industry.
